01 / Introduction

I build things.
Mostly companies.

I’ve spent my career helping startups figure out how to grow—and then figuring out how to actually make it happen.

I’m an operator by nature. I like complicated businesses, marketplaces with lots of moving parts, ambitious ideas, and the messy stretch between this might work and holy shit, this is actually working.

Over the years, that has meant building teams, launching markets, scaling supply and demand, raising capital, improving customer experiences, navigating legal and operational challenges, and occasionally doing whatever needed to be done that day.

Figure out what’s next.

Hollywood.

Well, Salt Lake City.

My husband, Markus Bishop-Hill, and I founded Bishop-Hill Productions in 2023, a full-service film and television production company based in Salt Lake City.

Markus is the filmmaker. I am decidedly the operations guy. He focuses on the creative and production work; I work behind the scenes across business operations, finance, legal and strategy.

It turns out the skills required to keep startups moving and the skills required to keep productions moving have quite a bit in common.

Travel is my great obsession.

I love arriving somewhere I’ve never been before. New cities. Great hotels. Beautiful architecture. Gardens. Restaurants. Neighborhood bars. Coastlines. Places that make you stop and look around.

And getting there is half the fun.

Home is Markus, our two dogs, and an ever-growing collection of plants. I love gardens and gardening, movies that scare the hell out of me, true crime, mysteries, queer literature, great television, dinner with friends, and finding reasons to get people I love around the same table.

06 / What matters

I believe kindness
is underrated.

I admire people who are curious, optimistic and generous with other people. I care deeply about LGBTQ+ equality and about creating spaces where people can live openly and authentically.

I believe the people fortunate enough to have a voice should occasionally use it for someone other than themselves. And I try—imperfectly—to leave things a little better than I found them.
